Illamasqua Human Fundamentalism Collection xx

Hey lovely people i have actually found the time in my "busy schedule" to do a little post on my new found love for Illamasqua products and there new s/s12 collection.
To be totally honest i have felt really uninspired lately to do any sort of blogs or reviews on anything that was until i went for my first visit to the Illamasqua Flagship store which can be found on beak street just off regent street. It was awesome i went on the 15th March which was a great day for 2 reasons 1. My birthday and 2. It was the realise of the new Human Fundamentalism collection, i was like a kid in a candy shop!!!!

The staff were super help full and really friendly cannot praise them enough !
Ill post the link to there facebook page
http://www.facebook.com/#!/illamasquabeakstreet
Anyways on to the collection.

Human Fundamentalism is all about expression your inner alter ego with COLOUR!!!
The collection has some amazing promo images

I love the fact that this collection is vibrant and colourful its a little different to there previous
collections (which are all still fab) but they definitely have done good!
I have purchased a few products from this collection and am so pleased with them

This is the Neutral Palette I am completely in love with this palette you could litterly just have this in your make up bag and have day and evening makeup its lush !!
The colours that are in the palette are
Stealth (top left) which is a lovely creamy buttermilk colour is so smooth to the touch too and blends beautifully.
Vintage (top right) beautiful antique gold colour its not available in a single eyeshadow only this palette it reminds me of the pigment ore with less shimmer.
Wolf (bottom left) lovely warm chocolate brown i find this colour nice to contour with as it blends out beautifully and especially in the socket of your eye it looks lovely.
The final colour is Obsidian (bottom right) its a sexy smokey rich black i much prefer it to a few black eye shadows i have tried as it is so rich in colour.

If you are thinking of buying anything from this collection i would definitely say that this product is the one to go for its versatile for day/evening and nights out. It retails at £30.00 and you can purchase it from www.illamasqua.com

The next palette is the Fundamental Palette as described on the website it is a contrast of textures and colours to express that inner alter ego in this palette you get
Liquid metal in Molten (top right) such a lovely multi use product in a pretty pewter
Matte cream Pigment in Bedaub (bottom left) creamy mint green pigment which has good multi purpose use it can be used to tone down redness and its also a great base for eyeshadow or just to do what ever you want with it.
Hype Eyeshadow (top left) Bright summery yellow this one is the only one i found harder to blend but i can deal with it.
The final eyeshadow is Inception (bottom right) bright violet this eyeshadow is probelly my least favourite just because I'm not a fan of purple eyeshadow simple.

This palette also retails for £30.00 and is available at www.illamasqua.com it is fun bright and great for this summer.

The Final product is the Precision Ink in Scribe it is a pure white liquid liner unlike the black liner of this line which is called Abyss which has a gloss finish the white one is completely matte its lovely
Just make sure you give it a bloody good shake before you use it.

This retails at £17.00 and is also available on the website www.illamsqua.com xx

I have purchased some more products from the collection which should get delivered tomorrow :-) so i will review them once i have had a bit of a play with them.
All in all this collection is one of my favourites this year for any brand its fun bright and in your face but there is a softer side in there too and that is Illamasquas moto is "EXPRESS YOUR INNER ALTER EGO" and my god do they do that Good job Illamasqua !!!!

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask and any requests for reviews ill do my best to get hold of the products if i haven't got them already.

Take Care

bareMinerals Get Started Kit

Hey guys im back again for another review, today im going to be reviewing the bareMinerals Get started kit.

I have to say when my boyfriends sister told me to start using bareMinerals I was so adamant that liquid foundation was the way forward and it was the best coverage and nothing could compare to it, boy was I wrong and i was made to eat my words lol. As I was lucky enough to do a bareMinerals training course in June I learnt ALOT about the products such as the ingredients the application of the product and how it will (over time) improve your skin condition. That part is definitely true i have noticed a big improvement in my skin, I feel the texture and overall appearance is a lot better.

The ingredients of the foundation is 100% pure minerals, most "mineral" foundations that you get on the market now only have to contain 5% minerals to actually be called a "mineral" foundation the rest of the ingredients are things like talc, colouring and a few other randoms lol. They get the colour for the bareMinerals foundation from heating up the different minerals and the hotter the minerals get the darker the colour is. This is how they can advertise that the product is 100% minerals because it is!!!

They now have 2 formulas of foundations

  • Matte

  • Original

I much prefer the Original one as it gives you a beautiful glow to the skin the Matte one is definitely good for more oiler skins and i wouldnt recommend it for really dry skin. One of bareMinerals well know slogans is

SWIRL TAP BUFF

Which is how you apply the foundation you swirl the brush in the lid, tap off the excess, and buff in to the skin for an instant beautiful glowing complexion.

To my knowledge this product is bareMinerals best-selling product which is the Get Started Kit and quite rightly so it is AWSOME!!!!

So this kit contains 2 foundations in 2 of the recommended shades that are picked for you.

1 x mineral veil

1 x warmth

1 x full flawless face brush

1 x flawless application brush

1 x maximum cover concealer brush or light stroke brush

1 x bisque multi tasking concealer

1 x dvd

1 x sample sachet of prime time

The foundation is beautiful it is advertised as - "It looks like a powder feels like a cream and buffs on like silk" and that is actually what it does it is a lovely product and it is sooo weightless it does feel like you have nothing on your skin at all. The thing is what is so beautiful about this it lets your skin breath, but it can be used as a skin aid what i mean is that you can apply the product to problem areas to help treat the area because the product is so natural.

You also get 3 brushes in the kit which are worth about £50.00 if bought separately, each brush has its own purposes

Full flawless face brush - This brush is used to buff your foundation in the skin and to make it blend beautifully.

Flawless application brush - This brush is for applying Warmth and Mineral Veil

Maximum Coverage concealer brush - This brush is great for covering imperfections and dark circles

You will also receive a Mineral Veil and a Warmth these are the products that add dimension and contour to the face and also the tie the look together.

Warmth is a beautiful all over face colour which is great for that all year round glow but you can also use this product for contouring the face to define bone structure.

Mineral Veil is a great product to use throughout the day to keep your complexion looking flawless, this product absorbs excess oil and gets rid of shine so you have that perfect face of make-up all day long .

Bisque multi tasking concelear -  This is a yellow based concealer which will help eliminate redness from blemishes or broken capillaries on the tops of cheeks or nose. It blends beautifully in to the skin so it is basically invisible.

Prime time sachet -  This is bareMinerals primer it has a beautiful silky texture and allows the foundation to be applied beautifully creating a smooth flawless base. The now do 3 different types of primer

  • oil control

  • brightening

  • original

My fav is the original it is definitely a must have if you do buy the kit you should buy the full-sized primer.

You will also receive the DVD to show you how to apply your foundation it is very usefull as shows some other simple eye and cheek looks too.

The kit in total is worth about £160 but it retails for £48.00 which is amazing value it is definitely worth a try. You can find loads of other mineral products here www.bareescentuals.co.uk

So guys if you do already use it let me know what you think about it or if you have any questions please leave a comment below and i will get back to you :-)

Take Care guys

bareMinerals Tutorial Kits Review

Hey guys right today im going to do a review on some new products in the bareMinerals tutorials kits.

Ive got 2 different ones to review today and here they are -

The Smokey eye kit - This kit containes 2 x 0.57g eyeshadows

                                                                                 1 x double ended brush

The eyeshadow colours are - skyline a sultry grey violet which is a great contour colour to achive that sexy smokey eye.

                                                           - celestine a beautiful shimmery ivory colour its light reflecting which adds a light-reflecting shimmer to brighten the look and open up the eye.

The double ended  brush is a must have for your collection one end distributes great colour while the other end is great for buffing the colours together and soften your look.

Here is a swatch of the colours there is no base underneath the colours so you can see the true pigmentation of the colours.

The colour on the left is skyline and on the right is celestine.

I think this is a lovely kit espically for a beginner as you get all the instustions for day and night time looks on the inside of the box. The only thing i wish the kit contained was maybe a small eyeliner or a small primer of some sort, i personally love primer especially for loose pigment eyeshadows but you guys might be different. The Kit retails fot £30.00 which is definitly good value for money as the eyeshadows are full size.

The second kit is the bareMinerals Get cheeky kit

This kit contains 1 x blush in colour Lovely

1 x Pure radiance all over face colour

                                   1 x double-ended seamless blending blush brush

This kit is lovely for creating a lovely "fresh as a daisy" look if you want to achive that freshley pinched cheeks look this is definitly the kit for you.

The Blush in colour Lovely is a warm shimmery pink that adds a beautiful youthfull glow to your complexion.

Pure Radiance is an all over face colour which adds a light fresh lumionous glow to the skin and has a light peachy undertone to gently warm up the skin too.

Double-ended seamless blending blush brush is also a great tool for your collection, the synthetic end of the brush will sculpture the cheekbones and add definition to the face, while the fluffy end of the brush will buff the product in the skin making it completly flawless on the skin.

Here is a swatch of the 2 products on the left is Pure Radiance all over face colour and the left is lovely blush

I really like the colour of the blush in this kit im not to keen on the all over face product just beaucause i find it too shimmery and i find it dosnt photograph great either which isnt such a concern for most people i just dont like to look too shiney but hey thats my oppinion :-) but has just been informed by my sister in law (who worked for bare minerals) that if you do find it too shimmery use it as a highlighter under the brows or on the cheekbones great tip :-) thanks Linz lol x

These kits retail for about £30.00 each you can buy them at selected Debenhmas stores but if you happen to live in the Ipswich area pop into Baiss&Co hairdressers as we carry selected bareMinerals products

Take care guys
